Supreme are opening a London store

Supreme are branching out from it’s main stores in Japan, the States and London’s Dover Street Market and The Hideout. The wait is over and the Supreme London store will be opening in soho on 22nd September 2011 on 2 Peter Street down the road from Bape and The Hideout.

The brand will be exposed to a new audience which will hopefully give good exposure though exclusivity may be lost. This store will most definitely please skaters, hip-hopers and fresh and fly kids from London.

Yasmin Bawa

(Picture above is Yasmin snapped at graduate fashion week in her own designs on Vogue.com.)

I first heard and met Yasmin at ‘Fashion on the lock’ an event organised by designer and CEO of concrete rose and blogger Rachel (just rachy), an event where new graduate designers had stalls in camden market to sell their work. I loved Yasmin’s pieces and bought myself a rucksack.

Yasmin Bawa graduated from Middlesex University this year with a degree in mens fashion. Her graduate collection ‘He Shall Be A Peacock’ is inspired by a V&A exhibition, futurism, camera less photography, pictograms and triangular prints for men and women clothing and accessories which include shoes and bags.

Film Stills:

Yasmin decided to bring her work to life with a video by Liam Simpson to showcase her graduate collection there is a slight influence from Where the wild things are.

Whilst studying she worked with Richard Nicoll, Tim Soar and David on research, design and production and I look forward to seeing her grow, develop and succeed as a designer.

Vogue Italia- Belle Vere (Truly Beautiful Women)- June 2011

I know this is so last month but I had to do a post on it. As it is refreshing to see real girls on the cover. Yes normal curvy women are sexy (size zero is a no no). This has been executed brilliantly it is sophisticated, glamourous and elegant. I adore it. Go Italia!! I hope other magazines take note.
